On the k-Jacobsthal Numbers
Abstract
We introduce a general Jacobsthal sequence that generalizes the classical Jacobsthal sequence. Many properties of these numbers Jk,n,nεN are deduced directly from elementary algebra in a similar way that in the case of the k‒Fibonacci numbers. Finally, we will find that the Pascal triangle related with the k‒Jacobsthal numbers coincides with the triangle obtained for the k‒Fibonacci numbers.
